One Last Ride For Wolverine

Today on Twitter, Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds posted a tweet with a nice announcement. Deadpool’s release date of September 6th, 2024. While this is huge news for all of us Marvel and Deadpool fans, it was an even bigger surprise for those looking for the most prevalent X-Man to make an appearance in the MCU after the easter egg found in episode two of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law on Disney Plus.

Screenshot from Episode 2 of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Hugh Jackman’s last appearance as the lovable brute was in 2017’s Logan, which was supposed to be his last go round for the character. Since Patrick Stewart did return as Professor X for a cameo in this year’s Dr. Strange, it’s honestly no surprise that Hugh would return to the role. It is yet to be determined the extent the role will be, however, fans can start getting excited as this is yet another announcement for Phase 6 of the MCU.

Marvel Previews Timeline for Spider-Man’s Dark Web Event

Marvel has given us a sneak peek at some of the upcoming covers for the Dark Web event coming up this December for our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Prior to the images posted to Twitter and their own blog, the only details we had were from the Free Comic Book Day issue.
Dark Web is a team up event between the X-Men and Spider-Man with their clones, the Goblin Queen and Chasm, as the main antagonists. Some details also show that Venom might be playing both sides, that is still unclear.
For now, we can just keep up with the current upcoming events to tide us over until the Dark Web makes it’s debut. End of the Spider-verse is slated to start in October, and AXE Judgement Day is currently ongoing.

She Hulk: Attorney At Law Mid-Season Review/ Breakdown

Before you read further, please be advised that this article is filled with spoilers. If you don’t mind spoilers, then by all means read on, but don’t say that I didn’t warn you.
With episode four now in the books, and tons of internet criticism clogging up Twitter and Reddit, I’m here to give you my completely biased review of the season so far. Many critics online took issue with the CGI of the series once the first trailers were released, and many were also skeptical of the comedic nature of the show. I’m here to say that as a Marvel fan, I have been pleasantly surprised by this show.
This show in the ever-expanding MCU universe has so far strayed from the tone of the other previously released shows by taking on a comedic tone (and episode length) that matches up to the comic book run that this show is based on. While we won’t get some of the cameos from the comics onto our screens due to ownership rights, we have gotten a healthy dose of Wong, the resident Sorcerer Supreme. In episode three and four we have seen Wong help Emil Blonsky (the Abomination) receive parole, and enforce a cease and desist letter against a failed magician/ sorcerer. The order was easier to enforce once Donny Blaze(?) accidentally opened a portal and allowed a ton of demons to escape into our universe.
While I may have skipped to episode three and four, the first two episodes weren’t without their laughs and entertainment. Episode one included the origin of how our protagonist, Jen Walters became a Hulk. While this may differ than her comic book origin, I feel the way they achieved this task in the show was well done. It fits overall with the tone of this phase.
Overall, I would say that so far, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is enjoyable, and a good time. I am looking forward to what the rest of the season has in store for us (especially Daredevil).
